With the warm weather fast approaching (really!!!) That means hurricane season is right around the corner. It’s timely to review the post on purchasing Wedding Insurance- Buy It! There is nothing that is more important to insure your wedding day, to make you breathe a sigh of relief, and to remove the worry from wedding planning so you can enjoy planning and not have those fears about Mother Nature messing up your day and causing financial ruin!
Without further delay, give it a read!
Let’s face it you might not want to hear the 3 reasons you need wedding insurance! You might even ignore the advice or file it away as too expensive or a needless expense.
We can tell you 100% without a doubt, BUY THE WEDDING INSURANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Planning a wedding is a lot of work, and it can be stressful on top of it all! And the expense? Whew! We haven’t come across anyone yet that said, meh— no big deal! 🙂
The hurricane season stretches from June 1 to November 30, sharply peaking from late August through September. It seems that the past couple of years have named storms occurring earlier and the tropics showing a lot more activity. We don’t have crystal balls—- we can’t be sure—- we can take every precaution to prepare for any eventuality! If you’re getting married in hurricane season, take advantage of protection to you from legal and financial responsibility resulting from incidents outside of your control. (Even over and above a hurricane!!)
Wedding insurance exists and it exists for YOU! The number one reason to purchase wedding insurance is
- PEACE OF MIND!
Daniel and Kristen, pictured above are one of our favorite couples…………. and they were to have tied the knot on St. Simons Island just after Hurricane Matthew had other ideas. Mother Nature came roaring through and, like she always does, upset the plans in a huge way. The island itself evacuated and there was not a single wedding that happened on the island (or nearby) for a few weeks after. Kristen and Daniel lucked out, while they were not able to have the wedding they planned, thanks to involved and pro-active parents, they moved their wedding outside Atlanta—- 5 hours away. Their wedding was absolutely beautiful, but not as they planned— and they incurred plenty of additional expenses.
If you’re faced with such a natural disaster, you may not be able to move your wedding or to recover lost expenses. That is some stress, right? Having wedding insurance relieves this stress!
The second reason to purchase wedding insurance that:
2. With the stress relieved your planning can be more FUN!
Generally wedding/event insurance takes care of:
- Event liability – helps protect you if someone causes property damage to the venue or someone is injured at your event.
- Event cancellation – reimburses you for lost deposits and non-refundable amounts if you have to cancel or postpone your event due to unforeseen circumstance.
It can even cover cover non-refundable deposits, lost or stolen gifts, and even injuries or damage during your wedding and the rehearsal.
3. When you’re covered from unforseen disaster you AND your vendors know that should something unexpected occur, you’re covered. And trust us, that makes everybody breathe easier!!!
In the photo above, Kristen and Daniel were blissfully unaware that their wedding world would shake upside down……….. and it turned out as well as could be expected for them. They were super lucky in fact! BUT WE TELL EVERY COUPLE WHO PLANS THEIR WEDDING IN THIS SEASON, please, please, please, check out insurance. We’re not affiliated, nor do we receive any compensation, but we send our couples to Markel Event Insurance.
Breathe easier, cover the unexpected——- and enjoy this time of wedding planning right up through the wedding! Promise yourself you’ll at least check out wedding insurance! We want the very best for every wedding couple, you deserve it!
