Questions? We've got you!

Thanks so much for considering BBP to tell your story! It’s an honor we never take for granted!
Selecting your wedding photographer is one of the biggest decisions in your wedding planning and often overwhelming with so many options. We pride ourselves in offering an experience that will be helpful, honest and full of encouragement mixed in with some happy tears and laugh out loud moments! With our belief in the Power of Photography we strive to deliver a collection of real moments from your wedding that capture your story in the most authentic way. Years from now when you look at your wedding photos and album you'll smile, maybe even wipe away a tear as you revisit your day and see the who, where and when of how your story began.
With that in mind here are some common questions that BBP couples have asked -- in no particular order! If you don’t find the answers you need here then please ask…..we are all ears!!

When will we see our photos? Do we get the image files from our wedding?

We took great care in taking your photos and we take even more in getting your images ready for viewing and delivery. Our collections have digital downloads included. We are proud to have one of the fastest turn-around times in the industry, and share sneak peeks within a few days. Your online gallery for viewing, sharing and ordering will be ready within 4-6 weeks of your wedding.

What is a digital download?

It’s all of the images as presented in your online gallery that you will download as high resolution JPEG files. We do not deliver raw files. A personal print release is also included should it be required when you print your memories from your choice of photo lab. (FYI we offer special print pricing for our BBP couples, you trusted us to capture these moments, why not trust our pro lab to print and preserve them!!)

Will our photos be retouched?

As experienced photographers we really do try to get it right in the camera first, but understand that digital files sometimes need a tweak! Basic editing is included. This includes our artistic interpretation reflecting our style, black and white images, editing of blinks, contrast and exposure. Trust me, we want your images to look good too and reflect the authenticity of your day and we do our best to deliver images that represent that! However, there are some occasions where additional retouching is requested and that is available on an image by image basis such as fly away hair, or blemishes, and in those cases additional fees apply. We firmly believe in the truth of photography and do not rely on Photoshop to alter that. Therefore, we will not remove braces, change the color of clothing or hair, take away all your wrinkles (we call them life lines) or make you look 20 pounds lighter or 20 years younger. We love you and embrace you for who you are so does your family! The images you see on our website galleries resemble that! All prints ordered with us and for use in your album will be centered and cropped to best represent the final end use.

How many pictures do you take and do we receive?

I don’t count! I photograph to tell your story as it’s unfolding. I strongly believe in the quality of the story over the quantity of the images delivered. Just because you can shoot non-stop does not means you should. ‘Spray and Pray’ is not a trend I follow. Most full day weddings will include but not be limited to between 800-1300 images.

We don’t want to spend an hour taking family photos, do we have to?

Absolutely not. In fact, because of how efficiently we work on the day and the guidelines via our wedding day form provided you for preparing your family/group photo list, most family photos are complete in less than 30 minutes! These photos are very important to your family history as these are the people that have supported you and having them all in one place at one time may be a rarity. Taking the time to capture this moment is to be respected. Life is short, take the time to capture your loved ones who have gathered to celebrate you!

Do we have to provide you with       a shot list?

Yes and No! We will send you over a wedding day form before your wedding and it will have specific questions asking for any special family heirlooms, traditions etc. that are of importance to you to be photographed that are not part of wedding day norm and are unique to your story. After 35 years we know our way around a wedding and how and what is to be photographed, so we don’t need a shot list for this! There will also be a section with guidelines to help you prepare your family/group photo list. This will speed up the process and will ease your mind! (Because--in case you did not know, weddings are full of emotions and things happen fast!)
