This week on the Be Fabbo Podcast, Bobbi had the opportunity to speak with Pam Ahrens, co-owner with her husband Tim of the Horse Stamp Inn in Waverly Georgia. Your typical coastal Georgia wedding venue, it is not! From the first glance of Horse Stamp Inn, driving up the tree lined entrance, you know this is something special!
Indoor settings include the barn, grand stone fireplace or tented area if you choose. Horse Stamp Inn offers various wedding and elopement packages for 2 to 500 guests. Each wedding is customized to create a unique experience for you and your guests.
Even though Tim was off-property for their interview, Bobbi and Pam had a great discussion about owning a venue, how it hosts weddings, the purposeful intertwining of faith and business, and the ins and outs of being inn owners as a life change. A life change you say? Pam and Tim moved from Michigan looking for a new life, new focus— and the warmer climate didn’t hurt at all!
Owners Tim and Pam Ahrens have long dreamed of together owning a business that provides their guests with opportunities to do the same. Horse Stamp Inn sits on the site of a former pecan orchard and still boasts 15 producing pecan trees. In 2007 the house was built as a private residence, then converted to a bed and breakfast in 2012. Tim and Pam Ahrens purchased the inn in August 2017 with the goal of providing peaceful and inspirational hospitality to their new and returning bed & breakfast and event guests.
The opportunity to purchase Horse Stamp Inn in 2017 was perfectly timed with their new found freedom as “empty nesters.” Tim and Pam left careers as organizational development and learning managers in the corporate world to pursue their dream. With a passion for building relationships, their hearts look forward to making every wedding, retreat, meeting, reunion, or weekend getaway the most special experience it can be.
BBP has enjoyed photographing weddings at the Horse Stamp Inn and can verify that Pam and Tim go the extra mile for their couples as well as for their wedding vendor team, making it a great experience for everyone!
The Horse Stamp Inn sits on Horse Stamp Road, an interchange in Camden County GA off I-95. The curiously named road dates back to the Civil War era. Legend has it that when making camp near the present road, soldiers would have their horses stamp down the grass and weeds, so the soldiers could have their church services in a place flattened, or stamped, level.
The Horse Stamp Inn is an elegant country bed and breakfast in Southern Georgia is nestled on 16 secluded acres on expansive green fields and is surrounded by gorgeous trees. The picturesque wedding barn, fresh water fishing pond, and outdoor pool add to the tranquil feel of the Horse Stamp Inn.
Elegant, yet country— upscale yet unpretentious, this is not your average ‘barn wedding’. Of course, Pam and Tim would love to tell you more!
Guests always enjoy gathering in the tent at Horse Stamp Inn, they can then freely roam around the property, take in the fire pit, or have fun with things the couple has planned for them.
