Join us for a peek at this Jekyll Island Wedding at Hollybourne Cottage with a celebration at Great Dunes! Brenna + Logan tied the knot at the beautiful Hollybourne Cottage on Jekyll Island and chose a fun celebration at Great Dunes Park with it’s lovely oceanside location.
It’s always so lovely when a bride gets ready for her wedding day! The almost pensive nature of the women in the room breaking off at a moments notice into laughter, and just as likely into tears!
Hollybourne Cottage on Jekyll Island is a beautiful location and was perfect for their I Do’s!
Built in 1891, Hollybourne is a Jacobethan-style, two-story property that once belonged to a prominent bridge builder—Charles Stewart Maurice. The cottage is unique since it’s the only one of that era to be constructed with tabby—a concrete mixture of lime, sand, and shell.
Originally, this nine-bedroom living space (12,271 square feet!) accommodated Maurice, his wife, Charlotte, and their nine children.
Brenna + Logan had time for a private moment after their wedding ceremony and making the drive across the island to Great Dunes Park. With over 20 acres, many people utilize the pavilion for celebrations and you couldn’t beat those ocean views!
With lots of sentimental and personal details Brenna + Logan were ready to celebrate! You’ll notice that their colleges didn’t give a nod to the perhaps more common institutions around here! 😉
Love those selfie moments! With a backdrop that includes those palm trees and the ocean—– better make those smiles even bigger!!
First dances, special moments each and every one of them! We always hope that couples take advantage of the opportunity to dance with their parents or special people if they can. They’re truly irreplaceable memories for everyone.
A champagne toast? Yes please!
The Best Is Yet To Be
On your joyful wedding day,
You begin a brand new life.
Friends and family give their gifts
To joyful husband, blissful wife.
But the greatest gift you’ll ever get,
A gift from heaven above,
Is love forever, ending never,
You’ll share life’s joy and pleasure;
You’ll have plenty of that, it’s true.
But love is the real treasure
For your new spouse and you.
And if life hands you challenges,
As it does to one and all,
Your love will hold you steady
And never let you fall.
Your wedding day is full of joy;
Tomorrow you cannot see.
But one thing’s sure for the two of you:
The best is yet to be.
