Lindsey & Juan recently vowed us with their Savannah Elopement. They stayed at The Gastonian Inn. where they also got ready for their big day! This charming and historic inn was the perfect backdrop for this amazing couple! Voted the “Best B & B of Savannah,” The Gastonian is located just a short walk from Forsyth Park where they said their vows.
This happy couple met on Match.com! We’ve been hearing that a lot lately so their success statistics must be climbing! Lindsey and Juan lived on separate sides of the world when they connected and their relationship quickly moved into chats, phone calls and Skype sessions. It’s such a sweetly sappy, mushily moving love story they have! Once Juan got back stateside they met in person and the rest, as they say, is history!
What a beautiful inn— with a helpful and friendly staff that everyone appreciated! Lindsey & Juan made a few new friends during their stay and we were wowed by this support and love!
Juan was a most handsome groom! He was a natural at striking that GQ Pose and being completely natural in front of Bobbi’s lens.
The weather couldn’t have been more glorious with brilliant blue skies and the azaleas in full magnificent bloom. We loved Juan’s boutonniere from Kiwi Fleur, it fit into the beautiful day and style of the groom perfectly!
Lindsey enjoyed getting ready in their beautiful room at The Gastonian. Salon Aqua did her hair and makeup, of course her smile and excitement lit up the room!
The beautiful bride had a short walk to Forsyth Park for the ceremony where she and Juan had picked out their perfect spot the day before. Naturally, people along her route shouted out their congratulations, took photos & honked their horns!
I was so completely honored to officiate their wedding ceremony! We’d been discussing it over email and with a phone call to insure that their I Do’s were just exactly what they wanted!
We kept saying all day long how Juan just absolutely adored his bride! She of course returned her adoration! Such a gorgeous bridal bouquet from Kiwi Fleur!
When Lindsey arrived at “X Marks the Spot” chosen for their vows, the ceremony was personal, sweet, emotional— and at times flat out hilarious! I can’t remember a ceremony when we all laughed sooooooo hard! When it came time for Juan to recite his carefully crafted wedding vows, he pulled out pages of text…….. small type & single spaced! Lindsey’s vows were a bit shorter but no less personal and tear producing. All in all, it was magical!
The new Mr. & Mrs. were photographed not only by Bobbi but by many tourists in the park!
Always laughing, the newlyweds just have that “it” factor, you can see their love and devotion a mile away!
One of their requests was that they wanted to dance! And dance they did! Right outside the Fragrant Garden in Forsyth Park! Juan pulled up music on his phone and the rest of the world melted away!
Savannah was the perfect hostess to the newlyweds as they walked back to The Gastonian towards their waiting carriage. Blooms and blossoms, the majestic trees with their Spanish Moss, the amazing architecture along the streets— perfection!
Arriving back at The Gastonian it was time for a few more shots around the little nooks and crannies of this lovely property as the sun began to sink towards dusk.
Soon it was time to hop onto their carriage from Historic Savannah Carriage Tours. Lindsey had brought along a banner to drape over the rear of the carriage which was a perfect touch.
Lindsey & Juan, we wish you every happiness in the world as you build your life together! You deserve all the best and we’re sure that you will spread your magic to those around you!
If YOU’RE planning an elopement to Savannah (or in the Golden Isles), please give us a call or pop us an email, we’d LOVE to capture your love story with “Images from the Heart…”
