St. Simons Island Lighthouse Wedding-A.W. Jones Heritage Center

July 24, 2019

Laurel & Kyle are just about the sweetest, kindest couple you could imagine! We were honored to document their day at the St. Simons Island Lighthouse/ A.W. Jones Heritage Center as well as officiate the I Do’s! St. Simons Island, this always beautiful barrier island in coastal Georgia was the hub of activity for their wedding party, family and friends (and we hear they all had a pretty great time!!)

With a color theme of purple and silver, Laurel & Kyle’s wedding popped amidst the lush green foliage and gorgeous spanish moss.

It’s always fun to take a minute with the bride tribe before the ceremony and even have a toast or two!

Laurel’s earrings were from Olive & Piper.

Laurel’s gown was J’Adore, her shoes Badgley Mischka.Bridesmaids dresses were from Azazie.

We always love it when a couple makes every effort to have an unplugged ceremony! It doesn’t always work out but when it does it allows the guests to just sit and be part of the special moment without their devices taking up their attention.

Without a doubt we can share that Kyle was just over the moon in love with his bride Laurel! There might have been a tear or two!

The wedding guests assembled in back of the St. Simons Lighthouse by the gazebo for the ceremony, always a pretty spot to say I Do!

The view from the top of the lighthouse is always spectacular but when it is of the bride, groom and their wedding guests it’s even more fabbo!

Helllllloooooooo from down here! The St. Simons Island Lighthouse stands 104 feet tall.

Laurel’s bouquet was from Straton Hall.

The newlyweds enjoy that birds eye view from the top of the Lighthouse! 129 steps up the narrow circular staircase! I’m not sure if it’s harder going up or down but Laurel in her wedding gown made it with ease!

The wedding party was so much fun throughout the day. A mix of friends and family made it all seem easy breezy.

A mix of succulents and florals carried out the purple and silver theme.

Speeches are always a highlight aren’t they? Sometimes sweet, sometimes funny, sometimes—- well you know. This crowd showed their love and support all night long.

And with a flurry of bubbles, the new Mr. and Mrs. made their exit!

Thank you Laurel & Kyle for the honor of sharing your very special day! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness with all your hearts desire!!
